Now it will not leave this position and the Nav CDs I have don't have the software it want. Everything was fine until I ran a selftest of my Nav computer and then hit F7 (system something), then it suddenly wanted a software CD. When running INPA I actually combine first running BMWScanner 1.4.0 demo (it is for free!) to get an overview of the units including errors, then I run INPA to dive deeper and clear codes in the modules. His texts and shop is in English as well, well worth reading to understand what is going on and how to modify your interfaces for BMW if needed. It was very good to actually build it yourselves, I now understand what the interface is doing and why. He also has a shop at where he sell DIY kits for interfaces (they build kit cost 15 Euros!). The site is run by a German guy who really knows his way with diagnosis, he himselves uses it for WW Audi cars but also describes how to make BMW versions of it and why it is different. (My computer ( a Fujitsu T4010) said Com1 was taken but just forced set the PCMCIA to Com1 in device manager and now it works). I use a KL interface from which works perfectly with a PCMCIA serial card. Actually so well I have got into my first problem, more of later. Having read this section of the forum I got INPA 3.0.1 running and performing well.
